Wedding for Two on Grace Bay
Point Grace Wedding on Grace Bay Beach
Jennifer and Marcel are no strangers to the world of traveling. Their work has them frequently traveling around the globe and yet, they still picked the Turks and Caicos for their Caribbean destination wedding. I think that is saying something! Point Grace is definitely one of the more beautiful 5 star properties in the Caribbean. The stretch of beach on Grace Bay is beautifully appointed with sea grass and wide sweeping dunes that are any photographer’s dream setting for amazing portraits.
The Point Grace property also however has some of the best gardens on the island, and after a bit of discussion I was able to convince Jennifer and Marcel to start their portraits there before heading to the beach. We even did a small mock proposal since Marcel had forgotten the rings during his ceremony. It’s little stories like this one that can make a special occasion like this even more memorable. Both Jennifer and Marcel were super easy going and receptive to all of my ideas. You could instantly see they were perfect for each other which made their portrait session flow with ease. The dramatic summer skies prepared a great show for us and we were able to capture it all from start to finish.
Even when I work with weddings that only have the couple and no guests or family members present, I like to give them the opportunity to have their first dance. And what better place to do this than on the beach at sunset. Marcel spun his new wife like a pro and together they let out some fantastic emotion which always makes for great pictures. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we made a final image taking advantage of a very unique, prism-like rendering of the clouds. This became one of our favorites and will soon be gracing their walls in the form of a beautiful canvas print.
