Turks and Caicos Destination Wedding
Caitlin and Alex’s wedding at the beautiful Somerset Resort was unusual for a number of reasons. First of all, unlike most weddings in the Turks and Caicos, the ceremony was conducted on the beautiful lawn just in front of the beach, and the reception was held on the croquet lawn just adjacent to the Pavillion Restaurant. There was very little of the Turk and Caicos‘ famous white sand in this event except for the engagement session the day before the wedding, and the sunset photo session after the ceremony. A three day photo session made this couple feel like stars! But more importantly, what a fabulous way to document the many steps in the wedding process.
Stephanie Duncanson of Flower Girl did an amazing job with the flower arrangements, bouquets and the lush wreathed wedding arch. The entire event was executed beautifully and the weather was perfect. There was a slight threat of rain which never came, so a white tent with open flaps was set up on the croquet lawn as a precaution. The contrast of the white tent on the thick green grass at twilight and evening turned out to be a magnificent setting for what was a very festive reception. All the guests and of course the bride and groom enjoyed themselves greatly. We wish Caitlin and Alex many years of happiness. Congrats!
