Getting to know the bride and groom is crucial for a photographer to deliver the right service. When we first met Morgan and Mark on a Zoom call, it was very clear that in addition to the customary assemblages, spending time with their guests and getting candid photographs was very important to them. Having officially sealed the deal in the US, they decided to have only close friends and family at the wedding ceremony and reception at the beautiful Palms Resort in Turks and Caicos. Morgan was so happy to have her dearest friends as her bridesmaids. In particular, she wanted to capture the time she had with them getting ready before the ceremony.
Wedding Photography at The Palms Resort Begins
The bridal suite was bustling with a flurry of activity when it was time to photograph bridal details including the dress, rings, shoes, and flowers Morgan was in a cute robe with her bridal updo waiting for her makeup. Shenique was busy doing the bridal party’s hair and makeup while the father of the bride was relaxing and taking in the moment with a local beer. In another room the groom was also preparing himself and looking forward to seeing his bride at the “first look”.
No matter how long you have been with your partner, the feeling you have when you see your bride or groom for the first time is indescribable. You can’t help but feel a renewed sense of overwhelming love and anticipation. It was no different for Morgan and Mark who surely felt that too.
The Ceremony and Celebrations on Grace Bay Beach
The time came for the ceremony as everyone had gathered on the beach. The procession began with a local guitarist who provided the music. The lovely couple expressed vows full of sincerity and emotion. They then exchanged their rings. The marriage was official. Everyone congratulated them, and then we did the official group photograph, which Morgan had specifically requested. Afterwards, we took photos on the beach with the wedding party, the relatives and of course, the newlyweds.
The evening was just getting started. The guests were enjoying cocktails on the deck as the sun went down. Before dinner, Morgan and Mark treated their guests to a surprise fire dancer on Grace Bay beach. The fire dancer impressed the crowd. And he was particularly good at involving the newlyweds and at creating fantastic photography opportunities.
After this excitement, the guests were then escorted up to dinner on the deck and the bride and groom walked into the reception for the first dance and parents’ dance. The party and festivities were just beginning when we left after the cake cut. We were honored to be part of Morgan and Mark’s special day. We are confident that their photographs will provide all of the memories they will need to last a long and happy lifetime. Congratulations Morgan and Mark!
