Parrot Cay is an exceptional place. Located a 30 minute boat ride away from the main island of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos, arriving there, you just know it’s going to be an unforgettable vacation. Finny and his wife Anita, wanted to capture their family memories on this peaceful remote island by having a professional family portrait session during their stay at this blissful COMO Parrot Cay Resort.
Family Portraits around Parrot Cay
To best show off the incredible white beach, turquoise ocean and blue sky, the family opted for a morning photoshoot. As Paradise Photography is based on Providenciales, we took the early ferry to Parrot Cay and from the dock, it’s a then short golf cart to the hotel lobby where we met. Elegantly coordinated in blue and white outfits, Finny and Anila discussed the types of pictures they would like to be taken. As well as beach photos, we would also take pictures in the grounds with the lush pathways and different textures of stone and wood. This was also a good idea as the beach was very hot and bright, so it was important to make sure there were pictures where everyone could easily look into the lens without squinting.
At Parrot Cay, there is a long path from the main resort building all the way to the ocean, and along the way, there are some gorgeous stopping points to take pictures of the children and also them as a family together.
Island Beach Photos
Stepping onto the sand and looking at the water from Parrot Cay is a breathtaking sight, one that we as photographers, still appreciate the beauty every time. The kids were excited to be on the beach and we took some playful photos where Finny was picking up his son, the girls were running along the water’s edge and other candid pictures with them all. We also took some couple’s photos and individuals of the children.
In the end, we had compiled a wonderful collection of family photographs which we hope they’ll enjoy for years to come, and always be brought back to the island whenever they look at them!
