When Ali and Tony first met, they discovered they had a lot in common and they both had beautiful daughters who were all around the same age. Because their daughters are so important to them, the couple wanted their girls to be a major part of their special blended family destination wedding and we were delighted to be their selected wedding photographer.
Ali planned to have the three girls walk her down the aisle, so she got beautiful matching blue dresses for them. During the bridal preparations, she had the each of the girls have flowers put in their hair to match her hairstyle. She also got matching pajamas and mini bouquets for the girls. We took lots of cute pictures capturing candid moments of the girls getting ready.
The First Look
The couple opted for a first look so we found a private spot where the groom could see his bride for the first time. The happy couple took photos throughout the picturesque garden areas of the West Bay Club resort before heading to the ceremony. The romantic garden photos before the wedding were a chance for the couple to spend some time with just the two of them.
A Beautiful and Emotional Ceremony
The wedding ceremony incorporated special elements of giving personalized necklaces to each of the girls. Ali made a speech and pledge to Tony’s daughters before giving the girls a gift and Tony made a speech and pledge to Ali’s daughter before giving her necklace. Lots of tears were shed by the couple and the guests who were overcome by such a touching tribute to the importance of family.
After the emotional nuptials, everyone gathered for a big group photo of all the wedding guests. The new Mr. And Mrs. escaped the crowd and took photos with their daughters to symbolize the blending of their new family. We took photos of the girls together as new sisters and then made sure for the happy couple to do some romantic beach photos.
At the reception, the bride and groom entered the party under an arch of sparklers formed by their smiling guests. They immediately went to the dance floor and did their first dance as husband and wife and then invited their daughters to join them on the dance floor for a family dance. The reception was full of special toasts, the most important of all was the tribute that each one of the girls made to their parents. This was such a memorable wedding for how to include children and family as an important part of the wedding day.
