When Michael proposed to Nedra, they were on a trip with their best friends. So, when it came time to marry, the couple made sure to include their friends in their small intimate destination wedding in Turks & Caicos.
Everyone stayed at The Ritz-Carlton resort on award-winning Grace Bay beach. The rooms are very luxurious, so for their wedding photography we began with some bridal details photos in the suite. Nedra’s wedding ring was one of a kind. Michael got her a blue diamond because he knows how much she loves the ocean. His jeweler brought in a few different blue diamonds and then Michael hand selected the one he liked the best for his bride. He then had it set with diamonds all around it so it looked so spectacular.
After the detail photos and some nice candids in the room, Michael and Nedra had their First Look in a private area of the resort. The First Look is a special time when a couple can be together before the wedding to see each other for the first time. Michael was overcome with emotion the first time he saw his beautiful bride. Before heading to the beach for the ceremony, we took photos around some of the pretty locations in the resort. One of my favorite photos was the happy couple sitting on a bench smiling from ear to ear. We also used the corridor of the ballroom area where the light was perfect. The neutral tones of the walls and floor were a lovely backdrop for contemporary pre-wedding photos.
Driftwood Wedding Arch on Grace Bay Beach
The couple hired local wedding planner, Keisha Delancy, with Destination TCI who assembled a rustic bridal arch made of driftwood, flowers, and hanging lanterns. For the ceremony, Nedra walked down the resort boardwalk to her smiling groom as he stood in the sand underneath the arch. The couple exchanged vows before their friends and then made everything official with signing their paperwork at a cute little table overlooking the ocean. We took some fun photos together with their friends and then it was time to take romantic beach photos of the newlyweds. Nedra and Michael were so natural together and the love between them was apparent. The Ritz-Carlton is one of the few resorts with a dock so we were able to take a lot of unique photos around sunset time.
For twilight, the couple headed back to their arch and that was the final photo of the night. The couple loved it so much that they ordered it for their wall in a driftwood frame that matched their wedding arch. We wish many years of happiness for this wonderful couple!
