Grace Bay Beach Family Photos During the Pandemic

The Gervin family are no strangers to the Turks and Caicos.  Residents of San Diego, California, Erika and her husband William have been regular visitors to the islands, and Providenciales in particular since the early 2000s when they were married in Erika’s mother’s home, the beautiful Villa Mani. Because of the special connection to Turks and Caicos they were one of the first families to fly here after the island reopened for tourists.  And wow, was their trip sure worth the wait!! Never before had they seen the beaches so pristine and serene and they had it all to themselves.

Because their session was conducted in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, the beach was practically devoid of all visitors.

It wasn’t a surprise when Erika called to update her family photos. Her boys are both at a cute age where everything is fun and playful. She wanted to make sure to capture the special relationship between these two adorable and fun brothers.  Having lived in California for most of their lives, this handsome, blonde family of four were used to the beach and all it had to offer as a natural backdrop for family portraiture. Erika kept things casual with casual outfits for the boys and a beautiful sundress for herself. The conditions for their beach photos on Grace Bay could not have been any better. The wind was minimal and the water sparkled with the beautiful sunshine.  Most importantly, the boys were on their best behavior and had a fun time running and playing in the sand. Some of the cutest photos were the boys playing with their dad and wrestling with each other in the sand. Even though it may have been a challenge to make the trip during the Covid-19 pandemic, there’s no doubt the photos from this special trip will always be something to remember forever.
