The Mohorek’s visited Turks and Caicos for the first time for an extended family vacation. He and his brother were both vacationing with their families together because it was a great way for all the kids to be together and play. Most importantly, it was a chance for Chris’s parents to spend quality time with the grandkids as they were celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary. Chris booked a photo session at the lovely Villa Paprika where everyone was staying.
Villa Paprika is located on Grace Bay beach. The villa architecture is very traditional with its coral stone facade and turquoise shutters. We started the family photo session on the front steps of the villa with the full family. We then did breakouts of each family on the steps including the kids as well. Because this was a morning photo session it can be very bright when the sun is out. Even if our subjects aren’t looking into the sun, the white sand is so bright that it often causes the eyes to squint. We all decided that sunglasses would be the best option for the morning session. By doing photos of everyone in the shaded area in front of the villa it allowed us to have a look with no sunglasses, which is popular for the grandparents.
Morning Portrait Session
We knew it would be hot and bright once we got to the beach so we came up with the game plan before for the order we would go through the photos. We started first with Chris’s brother’s family because they had the youngest kids with four little ones including a three month old baby. One of the little ones had never been on the beach before so it was the first time for her to set foot in the sand. Everyone looked great with their sunglasses including the cute ones for kids. We did some pictures of the family walking and having fun.
Chris is such a fun dad that when it came to his family’s photos he did some playful jumps with his girls. The sisters looked like pink princesses with their cute dresses.
My favorite photos from the session were of all of the kids together on the steps and also on the beach. My second favorite pictures were of the grandparents surrounded by all their grandkids. It’s the happiest picture to show the evolution of the family. We enjoyed creating lots of special photo memories from this trip!
