Rock House is the newest resort to open in the Turks and Caicos. It’s especially unique because it is located on the side of a cliff overlooking the ocean. This resort is popular for couples as it has a lovely romantic vibe and a European-like feel.
When John decided to propose to his girlfriend, Emma, he wanted to do something very special. He booked a trip for them to Turks and Caicos where they would have a private villa at Rock House Resort. As soon as they arrived, he couldn’t wait to propose. He got down on a knee and presented her with a gorgeous gray diamond engagement ring. John hired us to do what would be the first photos of the newly engaged couple for a special destination engagement portrait session.
Photography Session for the Engaged Couple
We started around the lobby and pool area of the resort. We incorporated the tropical green palm trees, coral stone textures, and striking architecture. We stopped along the way at picturesque photo spots with the couple glancing at the beautiful ocean.
The couple took off their shoes and we took fun barefoot beach photos with them walking holding hands and glancing out at the turquoise blue water. A highlight of the Rock House is the beautiful wooden jetty that stretches out into the ocean. The terraced look up the resort has different levels for lounging on comfortable cushions. We did some cute photos of the couple cozy on one of the lounges. At Sunset time, the best place to be is on the edge of the jetty where you can gaze into the sun. The couple embraced in a beautiful kiss overlooking the water with a stunning Sunset behind them. After we finished with the sunset and sweet light photos, the happy couple celebrated their engagement with some champagne cocktails and a romantic dinner for two. We are so happy to have been part of such a special photo shoot for this lovely couple!
