When Michael decided to pop the question to his girlfriend Madison, he wanted to do something special. He had been to Turks and Caicos before so was familiar with how beautiful it is. Michael contacted us with his idea about proposing on a boat and we were super excited to coordinate with him on the arrangements. We got Big Blue Collective involved in the plan too so that everything would be a complete surprise for his girlfriend. We love photographing proposals!
Michael chartered a top-of-the-line motorboat from Big Blue, complete with a captain and crew for a private afternoon cruise. We started with doing pictures of the couple together before the boat set off. During the boat ride to one of the other remote cays, we took candid pictures of the couple sipping on rosé wine and enjoying the view. They had the boat to themselves and sat on the back looking at the wake and the beautiful water.
Saying “I Do” in Paradise
Once the captain found a nice calm spot, he slowed down the boat so the couple could move around comfortably. Michael went to the bow of the boat and dropped down on one knee to propose to the love of his life.
Madison was absolutely delighted and the couple kissed and hugged at the front of the boat. The crew brought them champagne to sip and celebrate whilst Madison admired her beautiful diamond ring.
Michael had a special blanket made that said “Will You Marry Me?” It was laid out on the bow of the boat with a charcuterie board. One of our favorite photos was the couple toasting champagne as the boat motored around the shallow cays.
Engagement Photos on the Beach
Once the boat returned to land, we took the happy couple onto the beach for an engagement sunset photo session. Madison had time to change into a gorgeous fitted long dress for a totally different look. The extra time we took planning the photo session really paid off for Michael and Madison to get amazing engagement photos they will use for their save-the-date cards, an engagement signing book, and their official announcement for social media.
