Kim Rankin family portraits
When Kim was planning her post-COVID family vacation she wanted a location that would be relaxing, convenient, and low density. Sailrock Resort in South Caicos was the perfect fit for her goals. Kim enlisted the help of savvy travel advisor, Dawn Perry of Platinum Travel Insiders, LLC. Dawn helped manage the travel requirements and logistics for Kim’s family hassle-free travel to one of the caribbean’s finest resort- Sailrock Resort. Dawn found two beautiful beach-front villas on Sailrock’s eastern shore of South Caicos. This allowed them to spend quality time together around the villa and infinity pools that overlooked the ocean. On the day of their beach portraits, we met everyone at Kim’s villa. We wanted to meet the entire family and go over the plan for the special multi-location photo portrait session. We began the session with casual pictures of everybody walking down the pathways leading to the beach. For the first formal grouping, we picked a picturesque sand dune with the striking turquoise blue ocean of the Atlantic Ocean in the background. For most the pictures at our first location we kept the sunglasses on because we wanted to keep the look casual and fun. We then walked up the hill to Sailrock’s reception called the Great House. This beautiful building is located at the top of a hill that has a panoramic view of the ocean and the Caicos Bank. We created Vanity Fair style photos of the family in the lobby of the Great House. We used an amazing, one-of-a-kind wall mural made of pink conch shells as the background. The family beach portrait session ended with sunset pictures on the Sailrock’s cover side where the wind is calm and the colors are a calming blue. We did fun pictures of the family walking on the beach. We also photographed every other combination to make sure this family would have lots of fantastic memories to look back for their first family trip to Turks and Caicos. We always love traveling to Sailrock Resort with its friendly staff and breathtaking views.
