Helene and John had known each other for most of their lives, but it was fate that brought them together after they had gone their separate ways years ago. The happy couple had never been to Turks and Caicos before and as with all our brides-to-be, we scheduled a wedding consultation phone call before arrival. Helene’s excitement to be coming to the islands was contagious and we couldn’t wait to meet her! The wedding would be an intimate affair with just their children present and a precious time for everyone to celebrate together. We were honored to have been chosen to be their wedding photographer.
Turks and Caicos Photos
Helene loves pictures and as they were arriving a few days before their children, we were able to have a morning photo session on the Grace Bay side of Providenciales. This was ideal as it gave Helene and John an opportunity to get relaxed with the camera as well as create a variety of images of both sunny, sandy beaches with bright blue ocean scenes, before the more formal wedding day photos. It was also a great excuse for a new outfit and to explore a secluded beach spot they would otherwise not have discovered.
Shore Club Wedding
Helene and John chose to stay at The Shore Club resort in Long Bay. This beautiful property is renowned for its many gorgeous photo opportunities and “instagrammable” locations around the resort. As Helene and John live in Florida, they were used to beach photos and asked to have their wedding pictures focused in and around the beautiful resort grounds.
Wedding Photos in Turks and Caicos
On the day of the wedding, Helene and John were getting ready at opposite ends of their luxurious and spacious suite. We started with pictures of groom and the guys, followed by some bridal beauty and pictures with the girls. Helene looked stunning in an elegant gown and her hair and make up was immaculately done. After an emotional First Look on the balcony, and some family pictures, we then all headed down to the Breezeway where the ceremony took place.
Having family photos as well as couple photos was high priority, and as we were a small group, we were able to all stay together as we went to various picture spots. Time flew by quickly and it was soon time to head to the private pool deck where Helene and John would cut their wedding cake. They had planned a fun evening for the family with a mixologist at the bar who would make them amazing cocktails. They enjoyed sipping those together before then dining under gorgeous ambient lighting.
We wish Helene and John every happiness they surely deserve. We know they’ve fallen in love with Turks and Caicos, almost as much as each other!
