Troy is a man with impeccable taste. And this played out in the way he proposed to the love of his life, Corey. Troy wanted something special for Corey. He went all out, by having two photo sessions. The goal was to provide a one-of-a-kind experience both on a boat and on shore. For the first one he hired a private boat and a saxophone player for when he proposed. For the proposal he wanted to make sure he had lots of amazing photos by adding drone photography in addition to the still photography. The second photo shoot was on a separate day and a different location so the couple could get engagement photos on Grace Bay beach with the beautiful sunset. Lots of coordination was involved with the logistics to make sure things went smoothly. Moreover, we wanted to make sure he had the best most picturesque locations for the proposal and engagement.
A Private Boat Charter
As guests of the Ritz-Carlton Turks and Caicos, Troy and Corey had the Ritz-Carlton organize a small private yacht charter that would take him to a remote island where he was to make his proposal. To throw Corey off guard, I acted as one of the deck hands. The boat captain found a very secluded spot on the deserted Dellis Cay. This is where Troy popped the question on the bow of the boat. Of course, Corey accepted. Afterwards, she said that she was totally surprised and had no idea of what was happening.
Time For The Drone
We decided to do some unique drone work on the boat and on a small totally vacant sand bar. Afterwards, we went to another secluded beach which was located on Little Water Cay, or as the locals call it, “Iguana Island.” These photos turned out to be Troy and Corey’s favorite images. Two days later we finished their extended engagement photo session on another secluded beach. This time we focused on both regular land-based photos and overhead drone photos during daylight and sunset. The whole experience was unforgettable and one that this sweet couple will talk about for years to come.
