Stephanie and Rajesh have been coming to the Turks and Caicos over the past several years and know how unique the destination is. Therefore, when they decided to have a small, intimate wedding with just a few of their closest family, there was no doubt in their minds that they would steal away to the turquoise shores of Grace Bay Beach to take their vows. And that is exactly what they did.
Seven Stars, the Venue of Choice
Because they have been staying at the Seven Stars Resort and Spa on all of their previous vacations, it was only natural that they chose this resort to have their ceremony and dinner party afterwards. The Seven Stars provided all the coordination and planning that they needed, including the food, flowers, setup, hair and makeup. They also found the best Turks and Caicos based professional wedding photographer to handle all of the still photography. Seven Stars also organized and created a beautiful chuppah-like structure with a removable aisle, which made it very easy for the attendees to walk on. This allowed Stephanie, her sister and her mother to keep their high heels on when they walked down the aisle. After the ceremony was over, the aisle was easily removed and the beach was perfectly restored.
The First Look
Stephanie and Rajesh decided to see each other before the ceremony. So, I orchestrated their “first look” in Stephanie’s suite. This was the beginning of their pre-wedding portrait session, which started in the suite. I photographed them throughout the resort and gardens on the way to the beach. Because there were only six people in their group, it was easy to photograph all of the various combinations. After we finished the pre-wedding photos, we ended up on the beach to start the ceremony. The ceremony was short and emotional. Afterwards, we took pictures along the shoreline and finished the session with some spectacular sunset shots.
