Gabrielle & Louise are from New York City, the Big Apple. So, when they were planning their wedding they could have chosen any myriad of amazing venues in the big city. Any one of those locations could have been the perfect place to have their wedding ceremony and reception. Instead they decided to come to the Turks and Caicos to celebrate their special day at the beautiful Wymara Resort… and we were the Turks & Caicos photography studio that they chose to use for their professional wedding photography needs. We were honored to create what turned out to be a great portfolio of images which included everything from preparation shots, a first look, ceremony and reception photos.
Preparations, First Look and Garden Photo Session
A lot of our brides ask us to start our photography service at the preparation stage of their wedding day and Gabrielle was no different. After documenting all of the details, the dress and having her hair and makeup done by Sheque Perfection, Gabrielle got into her dress in preparation for the “first look”. We orchestrated the first look in the garden area of the resort. That was the beginning of the half hour of bride and groom pre-ceremony photo session. This session ended at the boardwalk where the ceremony was about to begin.
A Beautiful Beach Ceremony
The ceremony went off without a hitch. The weather was fabulous and the huge arch that was used as the stage around which the ceremony took place was perfect. After the ceremony, we spent some quality time capturing intimate moments of Gabrielle and Louise along the shoreline.
An Exquisite Reception
During the cocktail hour we captured the amazing setup that was prepared by Keisha Delancy with Destination TCI. The flowers by Flowers By EA were magnificent and added to the overall luxurious quality of the setup.
Fireworks in the Air
The reception was complete with all the usual and not so usual events like a junkanoo entrance, first dance, father-daughter dance, toasts, and of course, the cake cut. The night ended with some beautiful fireworks and a surprise fire dancer who loved to spit and eat fire!
