Candid Family Portraits
Everybody knows that kids can steal the show. That was definitely the case when this adorable brother and sister showed up all smiles for their family portrait session. Young Evelyn and Carter came dressed for photos in matching Lilly Pulitzer outfits. In fact, their mom Caroline carefully coordinated the family in bright colored Lily Pulitzer clothing, with the men wearing complimentary solid colored pastel shirts to match the ladies and kids.
The clothing choice turned out to be the perfect pop of color that is needed for what was a cloudy rainy day. The extra vibrant colors worked out perfectly with the pastel blue colors of Grace Bay Beach.
This family portrait session was important for Caroline. It was really important for her to have updated family photos as her parents were getting older and she really want to value all the time that she had to spend with them plus, it was a chance for her parents to have one-on-one time with the grandkids! In fact, she booked months ahead and we discussed ideas for her photos.
From the moment I picked up my camera, Evelyn and Carter wanted to be in front of it. While most kids might get a little tired of having to smile so much, these two giggled and laughed for the entire one hour session. When we got to the beach they wanted me to do special pictures of the both of them while they were running in the sand, jumping, and having a fun time. They even wanted me to take a picture in front of their giant sand castle that they had built in front of Grace Bay Club resort. Because they were so fantastic we ended the night with a photo of them by their sandcastle. This was one of the few sessions where the kids wanted to keep taking photos and Mother nature with the sunset had an ending time with the light. Here’s to some wonderful memories for this fantastic family.
