This time, it was Ashley and John’s enchanting elopement at the stunning Seven Stars Resort in Turks and Caicos that captured our hearts.
Ashley and John, a young couple visiting the island for the first time, chose this paradise for their intimate elopement. From our first meeting in the elegant lobby of Seven Stars, we knew this was going to be a memorable journey. As wedding photographers, this first meeting is so important to get to know the couple so they can be relaxed for their big day. It was just the two of them, no grand entourage, just pure love and a shared adventure.
The Seven Stars on-site planner took care of all the details for Ashley and John, so that as they prepared for their special day, side by side in their suite, the air was filled with excitement and joy. We began capturing their journey with bridal beauty shots of Ashley, her radiant smile reflecting the afternoon light. John, looking dapper and deeply in love, joined her for portraits that captured their connection beautifully. The suite’s soft light enhanced the elegance of Ashley’s gown, shoes and her delicate bouquet, adding layers to their love story.
Walking amidst the lush pathways of Seven Stars, before the ceremony, Ashley and John paused to take a quiet few minutes to express their feelings. They exchanged heartfelt words, written in personalized leather notebooks, a touching moment we were privileged to capture from a respectful distance. The ceremony itself was held on the romantic landscape of Grace Bay beach at the West Deck quiet end of the resort. There was a four-post wedding arch adorned with white bougainvillea and soft drapery creating a frame for the turquoise horizon. As they exchanged vows, the sea whispered its timeless blessings, and we captured their tender glances and special moments.
Following the ceremony, the couple enjoyed a stroll along the beach to take in what had just happened. As the sun began to sink below the horizon, the lighting changed dramatically in just a short space of time, from bright to golden with hues of pinks and oranges to soft and subdued for the romantic looks the couple also wanted to have captured. Ashley and John moved effortlessly, their happiness mingling with the ocean breeze. These moments, captured in the soft glow of the setting sun, were pure magic.
In planning what to use their photos for, the couple knew from the very beginning that they would be gifting both sets of parents a photo album so they could give them something which would tell the story of their wedding day. For themselves, they initially thought they would only want digital keepsakes, but this decision changed once John enjoyed flipping through the beautiful pages of our photo book samples.
