Turks & Caicos Villa Wedding

You may be surprised, but planning a sweet, memorable wedding during this pandemic is still completely possible. We’re so in love with how Barbara and John decided that their love just couldn’t wait! Unlike many couples who had to rearrange their 2020 wedding plans due to COVID 19, Barbara and John had none to begin with. But months of quarantining and adjusting to the “new norm” couldn’t stop them from falling deeper in love. And so, adjust to the new norm they did. In just a few weeks after deciding to get married, this excited bride-to-be had their villa, wedding vendors and talented photographers all booked and ready for a fabulous destination wedding in paradise.
They chose the Turks and Caicos Islands for it’s turquoise beaches and sunny tropical weather that’s hard to beat. Turks and Caicos is also ranked as one of the safest Caribbean destinations to travel to during these times, and getting here is easy and straight-forward. Pearl West Villa was the perfect venue for their intimate wedding with just six of their closest friends as guests. There was no better backdrop to ask for than the swaying coconut trees and the sparkling waters of Long Bay Beach. We made sure that their photography started early enough to take full advantage of the stunning venue they had secured, but also to ensure they got the best photos to share with all their family and friends back home. These included glamorous bridal beauty, stylish groom portraits, and of course, an intimate first look. Photos of all the little details were important too! Because of the COVID restrictions, Barbaras beloved dogs Cali and Lily couldn’t come along. So capturing the little mementoes of them — from cake mannequins to calla lily flowers in their honor — was a must.
It was a pleasure photographing Barbara and John’s small but very special wedding. Capturing everything from rings to reception details made it clear that this day was just as special as any big wedding day. We had great fun photographing the bride with her closet friends and the groom with his too. And thanks to Jasmine, their fabulous wedding coordinator, the evening unfolded beautifully and just as planned. So while 2020 might not have been the year we were all anticipating, there’s still plenty of room to make it a special year. We know that for this bride and groom, it’s been the best year ever!
