Bridget and Ashon hosted a large destination wedding with sixty family and friends at the beautiful Palms Resort in Turks and Caicos. Bridget was familiar with the resort because her parents have been going there for years. When she and Ashon got engaged it was no surprise when they decided to have their formal-style wedding at this luxury resort and to have their reception in the spa which was voted Best Spa in the Caribbean.
This New York power couple wanted an elegant look for their wedding so the groom and groomsmen were in tuxedos. Ashon loved photos so we made sure to get some great pictures of him and the guys before in the room getting ready as well as around the grounds of the resort with its colorful gardens and walkways. The bride and her bridesmaids got ready in a spacious corner unit of the resort. The large windows and flattering window light made for beautiful detail photos and bridal beauty photos with a sophisticated look.
Elegant Nuptials and Reception at the Award-Winning Palms Spa
Rather than having a beach wedding, Bridget and Ashon opted for their ceremony to be on the grassy lawn in front of the spa. The white chairs and ceremony set up and florals looked so classy with the vibrant garden colors and bright blue sky. After the ceremony we made sure to take a big group picture with all of their guests. It’s always a favorite photo for big destination weddings. When the wedding guests were at cocktail hour, the bride and groom made their way to the beach for some beautiful photos with the turquoise waters and gorgeous sunset. Because Bridget works for a champagne company, the couple made sure to pop a bottle of bubbly on Grace Bay beach to celebrate.
After a spectacular sunset, the couple returned to the spa where they walked down the iconic spa reflecting pool as they were announced as husband and wife before all of their family and friends. The couple did their first dance together and then each of them danced with parents. Bridget had a special sign made up that read, “Best Day Ever” as a surprise to her groom. It summarized the words that Ashon told her when they got engaged.
