Sydney and Mike are natives of Pennsylvania, USA, and could have got married at many different locations in their beautiful state including the Atlantic shores of Pennsylvania or New Jersey. But they wanted something different and something that they would remember forever. They looked at several Caribbean locations and settled on the Turks and Caicos. There are many places from which to choose in the Turks, but Sapodilla Bay on the south side of Providenciales was Sydney’s final choice. This part of the island is unique because it faces the Caicos Bank with turquoise waters that reach beyond the horizon. Additionally, this is the best side of Providenciales for sunsets on February 26, Sydney and Mike’s wedding day.
Wedding Guests from Far and Wide
While their wedding was small in continental America standards, the thirty-plus guests that did attend came from all over the United States. And they did so because they were the closest friends and family who wouldn’t miss the chance to see their loved ones tie the knot in one of the world’s finest tropical wedding destinations.
The Perfect Wedding
The wedding was a complete success. We started their wedding photography service just before the beginning of the ceremony. We were able to get those few minutes of interaction of the guests and the wedding couple before they went down the proverbial aisle, which in this case was a cobbled stone path leading from the villa to a rocky ledge with a gazebo which overlooked the whole ceremony. The conditions were quite tight, but we managed to make our way among the guests to get the best possible wedding photos.
An Amazing Sunset
After the wedding was over, we made sure and documented all of the family groupings on Taylor Bay beach before leading the newlyweds around the villa grounds for the official wedding couple photos. The weather up to that point was overcast, but those are exactly the conditions which created an amazing sunset. We finished their session on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Caicos Bank with the most beautiful sunset in the background. Sydney and Mike were thrilled with our photography service and promised to call on us again on their next trip to the Turks and Caicos.
