Sarah and Nic’s big day had finally arrived. They were staying in the penthouse of the spectacular Wymara Resort situated directly on Grace Bay beach. Close family and friends were present to witness the occasion and celebrate on this beautiful island in Turks and Caicos.
Now, we should tell you that despite Turks and Caicos being known for having 360 days of sunshine every year, today was overcast and had even been raining… but you know what they say, rain is lucky on your wedding day! Whilst the wedding party was getting ready, the anticipation and excitement was building.
Full Day Wedding Photography
We started off taking pictures in the penthouse with the groom, and the atmosphere was calm as the ties were being tucked the right way, personalised cufflinks put on carefully and of course, a rum and coke being cheered with the guys. Then heading to the bride’s suite, there was a bit more hustle and bustle going on with hair and make up touches being completed and the bride was about to step into her dress! We photographed the details, rings, bouquets and the Jimmy Choos!
Sarah and Nic had opted to have a First Look which is a great way for a bride and groom to have some moments together on their wedding day. It also means having more variety in the wedding pictures as the couple are taken around the pretty resort gardens before the ceremony takes place.
Soft Pastels for an Elegant Beach Wedding
It was soon time tor the beach wedding and the skies were opening up to grant us a gorgeous sunny late afternoon! Just in time! We loved the soft pastel purple and pink colors the couple had selected for their wedding. The theme tied seamlessly together throughout, from the bouquets and boutonnieres; the bridesmaids dresses and groomsmen’s attire; to the wedding aisle and arch decor and even the dinner reception set up. It all looked so elegant and beautiful.
Following the nuptials, we took several formal group pictures under the wedding arch before then dedicating time for couple photos as the sun went down while the guests enjoyed cocktails and live music just steps away on the sand. When Sarah and Nic joined them, it was time to sit for an lavishly styled dinner on the beach where even chandeliers hung down for an extra romantic touch.
It was an absolute pleasure photographing Sarah and Nic’s wedding, they were such a lovely couple and we wish them a very wonderful happy life together.
