Extravagant Ocean Club wedding
Leighann and Rick’s Turks and Caicos destination wedding was worth the wait! By holding out to have a dream wedding that they always wanted, they were able to wait out the worst of the Covid pandemic so they could be joined by over 50 family and friends, all of whom were also vaccinated! Having wedding guests vaccinated made everyone feel relaxed and ready to enjoy the multi-day festivities for this fun-loving wedding couple.
We started with pictures of the girls getting ready in the bride’s oceanfront suite. Leighann’s bridesmaids had the prettiest floral robes and Leighann stood out in her white “bride” robe. As soon as Leighann finished with her hair, makeup and some cute photos with the bridesmaids, she left the suite to do a “first look” with her excited groom. He was waiting to see her for the first time on a picturesque bridge over a swimming pool. Rick picked this special location because he felt it was a beautiful spot that he would see his bride for the first time on their wedding day. Ocean Club Resort is one of the only resorts along Grace Bay beach with bridges and gazebos throughout the property. We used all of these spots. We also used the cobblestone pathways, walkways and the lovely gardens to do the pre-wedding pictures of the bride and groom. The happy couple strolled along the pathways hand-in-hand enjoying some private alone time before seeing their guests.
Their ceremony was conducted underneath a driftwood arch with white roses. The highlight of the ceremony was customized vows and a sand ceremony. After the each of them said, “I do”, the ceremony ended with Leighann and Rick smiling big and walking down the aisle together as husband and wife. A notable detail of their wedding was James’ drone photography of the bride, groom, and entire bridal party. One of the favorite drone photos of the day was of the entire bridal party surrounding the bride and group in a circle taken from around 30 feet from above. The reception kicked off the party with most of the time spent on the dance floor and all of the guests dancing and smiling. The groomsmen mobbed the dance floor when the DJ played the song “Shout”. The bride topped the dancing off with an impromptu horah dance where she was lifted in a chair with all of her guests cheering her on. Leighann and Rick’s wedding was a true reflection of their fun personalities. We expected nothing less from this great couple!!
