Honeymoon in Turks and Caicos
Sarah and Derek stepped out of their condo in full wedding attire. Their Hawaii wedding might have gotten canceled, but at least they were in the equally stunning Turks and Caicos Islands, determined to enjoy a tropical honeymoon and some stunning wedding portraits. They were one of many couples who had to rearrange their wedding plans because of the COVID 19 pandemic. Unlike Derek, Sarah had been to Hawaii before. It was her dream to marry the love of her life there and to celebrate it with their closest family and friends. But after the state of Hawaii announced its extended closure, the couple decided at the last minute to change their plans. They did a Google search for caribbean islands accepting visitors, and of the few that came up, Sarah said the Turks and Caicos Islands was the most beautiful and had the most convenient requirements for COVID screening and entry. Without hesitation, they booked their trip and the best photographers on island.
After a whirlwind of last-minute changes, the newlyweds surely deserved the spectacular photos that they received. Knowing that they just missed out on the complete wedding photography experience, we were intent on delivering the best possible wedding experience. The weather was perfect on the evening of their photoshoot, and judging from the clear skies and bright sun, there was plenty of time before sunset to go to a secluded beach as planned. Along the way, we stopped for a few portraits in the garden of the Seven Stars Resort. This means they got to experience the feeling of taking portraits around the resort after the first look segment on an actual wedding day. And when we got to the beach, a surreal sunset was awaiting. It was a pleasure seeing Sarah having so much fun as she twirled around in her gorgeous gown. Derek, though a little shy, easily got into the mood too. The evening progressed from taking blue-water-blue-sky photos to capturing a signature TCI sunset, to creating a dazzling, cotton-candy twilight. In the end, everything worked out beautifully for a bride and groom who was affected by the coronavirus outbreak. Sarah and Derek enjoyed a beautiful and safe trip to a beautiful tropical island. They experienced the world’s best beaches, booked the best professional photographers in the Turks and Caicos, and got wedding photos more amazing than they ever imagined. We are so happy that it worked out so nicely for them, and we are honored to be the photographers they trusted for their Turks and Caicos honeymoon experience.
