Shore Club Turks and Caicos Wedding
Have you ever heard that bad luck is really good luck? Well, that was true for Shawna and Brandon. When they decided in late 2019 to get married, they wanted to do it in a very unique location. Their first choice was Lake Como, Italy. However, COVID-19 was just beginning to gain momentum and by the time they had planned to get married in June of 2020, Italy was locked down with no way of opening in sight. Plan B was to have a tropical wedding on the caribbean island of St. Lucia. And again, one month before their wedding in April of 2021 the island closed its borders, effectively nullifying plan B. So, plan C was to do their wedding on the island paradise of the Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Well, this was just about the time that the Shore Club received its most recent of many awards- the Most Instagramable Hotel in the World. And this award was one of the many reasons why they chose the Shore Club among the numerous great options on Provo. They wanted a resort facing the Caicos Bank, and a resort that would tend to their every need. And that is exactly what they got and more!
I met Brandon in the breezeway which is conveniently located between buildings 1 and 2. This is an ideal location because it is out of the hot sun, is cool thanks to the wind, and directly faces the turquoise waters of the Caicos Bank. The Shore Club constructed a beautiful one-of-a-kind circular arch as the ceremony’s centerpiece backdrop. Shawna showed up shortly after I arrived and met Brandon at the arch. It was an intimate scene with just the two of them. After the ceremony, the two of them did a short dance in front of the arch. I then guided them on a creative photo session on the beach, around the beautiful main pool, and among its many romantic passageways. They were so happy with the final results. They admitted that it was worth hiring a Turks and Caicos professional wedding photographer to immortalize their wedding. They also agreed that their bad luck of not being able to do their wedding in Italy and St. Lucia was actually a blessing in disguise, because it only made their wedding experience in the Turks and Caicos that much more unforgettable. They really had a positive attitude about the whole wedding experience, which should go a long way as a married couple.
