Seven Stars Elopement
When it comes to getting married, a lot of couples who are considering destination weddings are looking at the Turks and Caicos as a real option. And Vivian and Doug were no exceptions. Residents of the great state of Oklahoma, and having visited the island several times before they tied the knot on September 3, 2020, the decision for Vivian and Doug to escape to Providenciales to have their intimate, two-person, caribbean destination wedding was a simple one. The only decision left for them to make was where would they have the ceremony and who would be the photographer. As it turned out they decided to have their small event at the same place they had lodged on all other previous vacations- the Seven Stars Resort. The Seven Stars has recently expanded their beach deck and restaurant, and we all assumed that they would do their ceremony there, especially since the weather on September 3 was perfect. Instead, they decided to have the ceremony on the balcony of their beach front suite. This was a first for me. They also decided to hire a Turks and Caicos based professional photographer, and Paradise Photography was chosen. After a short ceremony and after signing the wedding certificate as one of their witnesses, I took them on a tour throughout the resort capturing photos in various locations on the resort grounds, ending their one-hour session on the beach. Vivian and Doug’s wedding proved that, without exception, in every Turks and Caicos destination wedding we have had the honor to photograph, the beach is always a central focus of the event.
